REDTOWER is a Vienna-based corporate finance and strategy practice. It is deliberately
small. The person you meet is the person who does the work.
Stefan Nolte began in investment banking — M&A at Nomura in Frankfurt and Erste
Group in Vienna, then as an associate at MP Corporate Finance — before joining
i5invest as Executive Director, leading tech M&A mandates across deep-tech, IoT and
health-tech. That period covers the transaction record above: buy- and sell-side,
cross-border, from long list to signed SPA.
The operating half matters more. He was CFO of nymea from 2016 through its acquisition by
chargebyte in 2024, CFO and shareholder at Solabolic, and VP of Strategy and Global Head
of IoT at the Marantec Group — a 640-person German manufacturer — where he led
the US market entry and grew the IoT business tenfold in its first year. He is a
co-founder of SALZSTROM, a Vienna sodium-ion energy storage company, and has mentored at
the Global Incubator Network since 2017.
The combination is the point: financing plans that survive contact with an operating
business, and operating decisions that hold up in a data room. Mandates are taken
selectively. Engagements typically run from financing strategy through to execution, and
often continue as an interim finance function once the round has closed. Where specialist
capacity is needed — legal, tax, technical due diligence — we work with an
established network rather than staffing a team you did not ask for.
